First day in Web Design….
January 30, 20083 Key important points: -A grade will be given each day weather you are on task or not.
-Late work will be reduced up to 50%, 10% each day for 5 days. -Students should act in a profession manner, showing respect for themselves and their teacher.
Ask 2 questions:
- Who will be able to see our websites?
- What will we be putting on the websites?
When a student is absent:
-Excused: The student can make up late work by prearranged times.
-Tardies/Unexcused: results in a zero for the day.
Note: even EXCUSED tardies/absences will effect your daily score. The time needs to be made up. (It can only be made up for excused)
- Who will be able to see our websites?
We will typically try to hide sites from search engines. Any sites that include information about you or classmates will be hidden from the public. Others will be publicly available (if they know the link).
- What will we be putting on the websites?
There will be various sites. This site will mostly be communication between you, me, other students, answers to daily work, etc. You will also make a portfolio site … like a resume. A site selling some product. A site per someone else’s specifications, and others.
Alright, sounds like fun. I am really excited to get started. I’ve made websites before so I am fairly familiar with coding!
What did you use to make the sites? Text editor and straight HTML? Frontpage?

We made that last year out of utter boredom. It hasn’t been edited in over 6 months.
